Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is difficult when you’re constantly on the go, but don’t let a busy schedule get in the way of your health.   The Motion Fitness family want to share a few tips that help us stay on track with our busy schedule.  You will be amazed by how great you feel by following these simple tips.

 

TIP 1: WATER! WATER! WATER!

Whether you’re on a diet or just looking to eat healthy water is your best friend.  Substitute sugary beverages with water and you will see amazing results within a week.  Doctors recommend at least 8 glasses of water a day, especially in the morning when your body lacks water for a long period of time.  We recommend keeping a water bottle with you and having a glass with every meal to ensure you’re meeting recommended daily intake.

 

TIP 2: Exercise on the go!

Busy schedules make setting aside gym time difficult, but there is a solution.  We encourage our employees to stay fit through various challenges like step and movement watches.  Don’t get too comfortable in one place, try to take a mini walk around the office every 30 minutes, take the stairs instead of the elevator, or walk to go pick up the kids from school.  Small changes make the biggest differences.

 

TIP 3: Food Choice!

Start off the day on a positive note with a nutritious, satisfying breakfast. A healthy breakfast helps start up metabolism after your body has been resting all night.  To avoid those unwanted calories pack lunches ahead of time.  Plan out meal for the week because it is much easier to follow a schedule than leaving yourself with many options.  Focus on getting the recommended servings of fruits(2 cups) and vegetables(2 1/2 cups) everyday along with protein.  Keep track of calories to monitor progress through various apps or on a personal journal.
